I do have a Meisterklass 14 holes, which is, in my opinion, a great instrument and a great range for the chromatic.
Regarding the “regular” 12 holes, the one you find in any store, it’s really a shame in my opinion that he doesn’t start a bit lower. Not sure the 12th hole is that much used, is it?

I nearly only play the C harp.
It does happen sometimes that I play an harp in another key though. For example, “Et je l’appelle encore” sounded better to my ears on an A harp.

A few words about me. I’ve been playing harmonica for 20+ years. First I bought a diatonic, discovered lots of notes were missing, so I bought a chromatic. I wanted to play melodies (particularly French songs). After a few years I went back to the diatonic. Something about it was so appealing to me.
