Interview with Glenn:

What harmonica model(s) do you play?

Hohner 280 chromatic in C

What are your top 3 favorite songs to play?

Body and Soul - All the Things you are - Everything I love

What are some of your musical goals?

To keep improving my abilities with improvising so I can come up with something that is my own.

When did you start playing? I started learning harmonica about 16 years old

How long have you been a Harmonica Studio member?

I've been a member for 2 1/2 years

What do you like about it? How has it helped you?

It's the most comprehensive harmonica course out there for learning the ins and outs of the Chromatic Harmonica, It combines studies of melody and harmony to help me improve my ears and hearing various relationships and sounds.

What’s your favorite courses/lessons on Harmonica Studio?

I keep going back to the "Fundamental Techniques for Chromatic Harmonica "section. I always feel weak in my fundamentals and working hard to improve the basics, so to better expand my abilities in a general way.

  1. Thank you Yvonnick!

I was thinking about the Hohner Motto, “Enjoy Music”, and that is ultimately the goal…. To enjoy, and hopefully produce something that others can enjoy listening to. Most important is to enjoy it for yourself.

Wishing you all a peaceful, joyous, and healthy rest of August and 2020!

    Best Regards,
    Glenn

  2. Hey Glenn!
I’m always impressed by your musicality, sound ,choice of notes everything! Your doubled up section in the solo was really impressive… Great work! Well done my friend!

  3. Thank you very much Jeff! I’m trying to push the envelope so to speak.
I’ve been working on taking small eight note phrases and realizing it with complimentary doubled up phrases. I was thinking that Cotton Tail might be a good one to flesh out more in this direction. Its a constant struggle in the woodshed, but I’ve been in the woodshed (literally while being in rural Austerlitz NY for 10 weeks… back in town now for better or worse lol)
